 CAPL  Board Ready to Welcome New Year!

 CAPL had a successful year fundraising wise thanks to the support, and contributions from the community which also included personal services.  The library is always appreciate of the Sponsorships by members of the community particularly.  Their sponsorships complement the fundraising efforts over they year, and are an integral part of subsidizing the non profit status the the library holds. 

 A few things to bring to your attention will be directed to the new board members; a brief introduction and a report of year end’s activities.  The Blood Drive, coming to you for your convenience will be  held in the library in the conference room on December 22, 2018 from 10:00am - 2:30 pm.  Contact Barbara Ponter for sponsor code: B910 to register.   All successful donors will receive a free hoodie.  Look for more information on the website.  The  CAPL Fun Walk closed out the year with a enthusiastic group of walkers, bringing out 38 out of 50 that registered.  Over $1,500. was raised and special thanks go to the Cape Royale POA for providing their woodsy backdrop for the venue: Goehrs Properties and Wolf Creek Air as sponsors for the t-shirts.  Other contributors were Lamb Propane, Coldspring Veterinary, Coldspring Farm and Ranch, Lucky Star Cleaners, Coldspring Chiropractor, and Brenda’s Hair Salon and with many donations from individuals who are loyal to the annual event.  Thank You! 
A big welcome to the new slate of directors for the Library Board and they are: 

 George Garett - former advisor at Independent HR LLC; Mgr.  Republican Club of San Jacinto County; Board Member of Coldspring Community Center; has written at least one book. Dianne Griffith:  Dianne’s husband was Constable of Precinct 1; She is a retired clinical and occupational RN.  Sheena Bass: Secretary of Women’s League; President of Board of Community Center - Sheena is very active and energetic helping the community.
Karen Reidel:  Karen is a Realtor; chamber member, Library volunteer and volunteering for the 36th Annual Christmas on the Square.  Dave Bailey:  Lived in San Antonio before moving to Coldspring two years ago.  Volunteered for the Annual Garage Sale and the Fun Walk.  He looks forward to putting his fundraising expertise to work.  Jim Langston:  A retired educator from teacher to Superintendent, to finally a  counselor, where he retired in New Waverly, TX.   His teaching took him to Oklahoma, and Colorado, before coming to TX where he has lived for the past 10 years in Coldspring.
